Delhi University likely to open Online Registration for DUET on June 20
Delhi University is likely to open the online registrations for UG admission and DUET from June 2020 onwards. Also, get to know the latest updates on the admission process.
The Delhi University has yet provided students with any information regarding the online registrations for UG Admissions and the Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET), however, rumours have once again sparked that the online registration for the 2020-21 admission is likely to open on June 20, 2020. There is no official statement regarding the release of application forms, but various media sources have also reported the same.
It is also learnt that there will be no Group Discussion (GD) or Personal Interview (PI) for Postgraduate admissions. Students will be judged on the marks secured in DUET. The National Testing Agency (NTA) on behalf of Delhi University, conducts the Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET). Also, Delhi University has decided to skip sports trails which is conducted every year for ECA (Extra Curricular Activities). The candidate will be granted admission based on the certificates and achievements.
Such decisions are being made due to the impact of COVID-19 (Coronavirus). In order to maintain social distancing, DU has considered allowing students to apply online after the cut-off lists have been released and students will not be required to visit the college in person.
Students are advised to keep checking the official website of Delhi University for regular updates. Earlier, on June 9, 2020, a member of the standing committee, Arun Kumar Attree, stated that the online registration would not begin as the committee meeting has not yet been held. “We have not been informed of when the meeting will be held next. However, we expect the registration to start in around 10 days tentatively. The registration will be in two phases: first, students can register for admission and during the second phase, they can enter their marks. A ten-day window will be given to students after CBSE 12th results are declared and the cut-off is likely to come a week after that.”
