Lifelong learning opportunity for all age groups under NEP 2020 vision; Registration open till July 29

The University of Delhi has invited applications for its Competence Enhancement Scheme (CES) for the academic session 2025–26. In line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020’s focus on inclusive and lifelong learning, CES enables individuals—irrespective of age—to enroll and study alongside regular students in select undergraduate papers offered in Semesters I, III, and V.

The scheme is open to anyone who meets the eligibility criteria and pre-requisites for the paper of their choice. Admission is subject to seat availability in the respective colleges or departments. The CES seats will be treated as supernumerary, ensuring they do not displace regular admissions.

The scheme offers a second chance to those who could not pursue higher education earlier and supports upskilling and knowledge acquisition through contemporary academic content and classroom interaction. “It is a unique opportunity for senior and non-senior citizens alike to continue as lifelong learners,” a university official said.
