In a relief for students who missed their exams due to Operation Sindoor, the University of Delhi has announced a special re-examination opportunity for those who were unable to appear for papers held on May 13, 14, and 15, 2025.
The official notification was issued by the DU Controller of Examinations, Prof. Gurpreet Singh Tuteja, who stated that several undergraduate and postgraduate students were unable to reach Delhi and appear for their scheduled exams due to unavoidable circumstances linked to Operation Sindoor. In response, DU has made provisions for a special examination for these students.

Documentary Proof Required
It is mandatory for applicants to submit documentary evidence proving their inability to be present in Delhi on the examination dates due to the events surrounding Operation Sindoor. Without valid proof, students will not be considered for this special exam provision.
The universityβs move has been welcomed by student groups and affected individuals, many of whom had raised concerns about missing exams due to travel restrictions and disruptions during the operation.
The university is expected to announce the schedule for the re-examination shortly after the application deadline. Students are advised to submit their forms at the earliest and keep track of updates on the DU examination portal and official university communication channels.
