IGNOU Jan 2026 Session Application: Indira Gandhi National Open University has once again extended application deadline for IGNOU January 2026 ODL programmes. Now, candidates can complete IGNOU registration for online programmes till March 15, 2026. It must be noted that this extension is only for online programmes, not for certificate and semester-based programmes. Earlier, last date to complete IGNOU ODL admission registration was February 28. 

To complete IGNOU Jan 2026 session application, they need to visit official website at ignou.ac.in. IGNOU has also extended last date to register for entrance test for its BEd and BSc Nursing (Post Basic) programmes for January session. 

How to complete IGNOU Jan 2026 Session Application for ODL Programmes?

IGNOU registration form for Jan admission cycle is available online. Candidates can go through the steps to know how to apply for IGNOU admission 2026 online:

• Go to official website: ignou.ac.in
• On the homepage, click on IGNOU Jan Admission 2026 link
• A new page will appear on screen with two links: Online and ODL
• Click on one of them and complete IGNOU admission registration by entering all required details
• Now, login and fill up the IGNOU application form and pay fees
• Submit IGNOU admission form and take a printout for further references

IGNOU offers various academic programms. At undergraduate level, Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor of Commerce (BCom), Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), Bachelor of Science (BSc), and Bachelor of Social Work (BSW), along with honours and specialised streams. Whereas, IGNOU postgraduate programs include MBA, Master of Arts (MA) in various specialisations, Master of Computer Applications (MCA), and Master of Commerce (MCom).
