IIT Madras and BHU Varanasi will be hosting fourth Kashi Tamil Sangamam from December 2 to 10, 2025 to strengthen cultural ties between Tamil Nadu and Kashi. Check details

Fourth Kashi Tamil Sangamam From December 2

Indian Institute of Technology Madras and Banaras Hindu University Varanasi will conduct fourth Kashi Tamil Sangamam from December 2 to 10, 2025. This event aims at showing cultural and linguistic ties between Tamil Nadu and Kashi with over 1400 delegates from different backgrounds. Kashi Tamil Sangamam registration window will close on November 21, 2025 at 8 PM. 

Education Ministry has launched two portals for delegate registration. First portal kashitamil.iitm.ac.in is for general participant registration while second portal kashitamil.bhu.edu.in selects 300 students for 15 day Tamil learning programme in Tamil Nadu. Also, selection quiz will be held on November 23, 2025 from 10 AM to 5 PM. 

Theme for Kashi Tamil Sangamam 2025 is Learn Tamil - Tamil Karkalam that aims to promote Tamil learning across India. Major Initiatives under KTS 4.0 include Sage Agasthya vehicle expedition from Tenkasi to Kashi and teaching Tamil in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh schools and Tamil learning study tours for students of Uttar Pradesh.
