Jamia Millia Islamia Signs MoU with Hanyang University for Students and Faculty Exchange

The cooperation between JMI and Hanyang University will offer opportunities for seminars, faculty and student exchange visits. along with Workshops, cultural activities, and collaborative research would benefit from the intellectual retention and academic interaction.
Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has signed an academic collaboration with Hanyang University, Republic of Korea. The collaboration between both the universities aim to enhance programme curriculum, conducting seminars and exchange of faculties and students for better growth of students. Further, the collaboration between Jamia Millia Islamia and Hanyang University will also focus on joint research, cultural events and workshops.
Hanyang University (HYU) is a private university situated in South Korea. The university was the country's first institution to offer engineering and architecture programmes. Dr Ki-Jeong Lee, President of Hanyang University, shared his delight with the collaboration between Hanyang University and JMI and hopes that the collaboration will strengthen the bond between both the universities through education and research.
Prof. Md. Mahtab Alam Rizvi, registration of JMI and Dr. Ki-Jeong Lee, President of Hanyang University, signed the Memorandum of Understanding. During the event, Dr. Hansung Kim, Vice President of the Office of International Affairs at HYU, and Prof. Shahid Tasleem, Head of the Department of Foreign Languages, were present.
Meanwhile, the authorities have announced skill-based short-term courses under the Skill India initiative. These courses aim to elevate the skills and primarily focus on students and housewives to develop their skills. The fee for the skill-based programmes ranges between INR 3,000 to INR 15,000 depending on the course type and duration. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online from the JMI official website.
