Jamia Millia Islamia, Tech Mahindra Launches SMART Academy for Digital Technologies

The SMART Academy will offer a wide range of courses in cutting-edge fields like Graphic Design, Digital Marketing, AWS re/Start, Java Full Stack Development, PHP Full Stack Development, and UI/UX Development.

Jamia Millia Islamia's Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) has collaborated with Tech Mahindra Foundation and AT&T Global Network Services India Pvt. Ltd. (AGNSI) to inaugurate Tech Mahindra SMART Academy for Digital Technologies. The academy aims to offer vocational training to empower today's generation with in-demand digital skills and foster employability. 

The SMART Academy through the aid of Jamia Millia Islamia and Tech Mahindra collaboration will offer a wide range of courses in cutting-edge fields like Graphic Design, Digital Marketing, AWS re/Start, Java Full Stack Development, PHP Full Stack Development, UI/UX Development. Along with training for these programmes, the students will also get training in English, IT, soft skills, and personality development to improve their job alacrity. The SMART initiative is based on Tech Mahindra Foundation's mission of “Empowerment through Education,” which aims to focus on education, women empowerment, disability inclusions and employability. 

Prof. M. Shakeel, Vice-Chancellor of JMI shared the importance of the programme saying "In today’s competitive world, equipping the youth with new-age skills is critical to enhancing employability and fostering innovation. The SMART Academy for Digital Technologies provides accessible, high-quality training designed to bridge skill gaps and create opportunities for underserved communities. JMI is proud to contribute to the nation’s economic growth through such initiatives."

Besides, Chetan Kapoor, CEO of Tech Mahindra Foundation highlighted the result-driven approach of the programme and the blends of technological advancements with essential soft skills to develop the required skills to achieve results.
