JK Lakshmipat University Announces Competition for High School Students; INR 2.25 Lakh Cash Prize for Winners
Students from classes 10 to 12 are eligible to participate in JK Lakshmipat University 'My City, My Lab' Ideathon. The winner of the competition will get an INR 2.25 lakh cash prize and a scholarship to selected participants will be offered by JKLU.
JK Lakshmipat University (JKLU) has started the ‘My City, My Lab’ Ideathon competition for class 10 and 12 students with the potential to cater to sustainability goals. Students will have to propose solutions for urban challenges in accordance with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Ideathon i.e. ‘My City, My Lab’ is a school-level championship that aims to encourage students to engage their creativity and find actionable solutions for sustainable development using the things that pre-exist in the environment.
Students can prepare their project concerning the below provided key topics:
- Pollution control
- Green infrastructure
- Smart Transportation
- Efficient resource management
Teams, with members between three to five, from high schools across India can compete in the competition where the winner will get trophies along with a cash prize of INR 2.25 Lakhs. Participants will receive expert suggestions and mentorship from leading industry professionals. Besides, top projects will be presented in the Prime Minister’s Office and selected participants will get scholarships to pursue the undergraduate programme of their choice at JK Lakshmipat University.
How to Apply?
Students who are willing to participate in the competition have to first register at the official website i.e. ideathon.jklu.edu.in and submit their idea related to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG), by October 15, 2024. Further, shortlisted teams will be notified of training sessions for the competition which will be held on November 30, 2024, at JKLU.
