UGC to Conduct Investing in People Webinar on March 5, Urges HEIs to Make Necessary Arrangements

The webinars are being organised across various key sectors as a part of post budge consultation in order to obtain effective communication and measures to the relevant stakeholders along with obtaining the inputs from the sector experts for better formulation of policies and measures. 

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has issued a notification urging all Higher Education Institutes to make necessary arrangements for the participation of faculty and students in the webinar on "Investing in People" scheduled to be conducted on March 5, 2025. The webinars are being conducted with several objectives, including effective communication of the announced measures to relevant stakeholders, obtaining inputs from the sector experts for better formulation of the policies/ measures and schemes, deliberate collaboration on the implementation strategy and developing ownership of all concerned stakeholders in effective implementation. 

The university has informed that seven distinct themes across sectors will be conducted. The Department of Higher Education, in collaboration with the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, will conduct theme four on March 5, 2025. Theme four is known as 'Investing in People'. The webinar will contain the key notes by several experts, stakeholders and concerned secretaries. 

Along with this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also adress during the plenary session at 1:30 PM. The theme consist of budget announcement from several ministries and departments and there will be 12 budget announcement followed by final session. The webinars across key sectors contain several discussions concerning post budget consultation in order to take inputs of the experts in the formulation of policies.
