A recent Shiksha poll, conducted among over 23,000 students, has revealed the distribution of student enrollments for undergraduate courses. According to the survey, 32% of students are appearing for the Bachelor of Science (BSc) course, 25% are opting for a Bachelor of Arts (BA), and 21% are appearing for the Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) program. 

Shiksha Poll on CUET UG 2025

CUET UG 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting the application process for the Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduates (CUET UG). Interested and eligible candidates are required to fill the application form in online mode at cuet.nta.nic.in and enter their preference of the course they are willing to appear for. As per the poll conducted by Shiksha, it has been found that BSc is among the top preferences of students appearing for the CUET UG 2025 examination, followed by BA and BCom programs.

Over 23,000 candidates participated in the CUET UG 2025 poll conducted by Shiksha. As per the results, a total of 32% of students notified that they are willing to appear for the BSc programme. Besides, 25% students shared their desire to appear for the BA programme while 21% students shared their willigness to appear for the BCom programme. Meanwhile, 13% students revealed that they are willing to appear for BBA or BMS programme through CUET UG 2025.

CUET 2025 Registration Ongoing till March 22

NTA is conducting the CUET UG 2025 registration till March 22, 2025. Students who are eligible to appear for the entrance examination are suggested to fill and submit their application form before CUET application form filling last date 2025. The authorities will conduct the entrance examination between May 8 and June 1, 2025, for admission to undergraduate programmes in Central Universities along with participating institutions.  

NTA Introduces Changes in CUET UG 2025

This year, NTA has made several changes in the entrance examination, including the removal of 20 languages and six domain subjects from CUET UG 2025. Besides, the syllabus of the entrance examination has been updated in comparison with the previous year. Further, CUET UG top subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, accountancy and Business Studies have seen a reduction of topics from the syllabus. The change of mode of examination, subject choice uniformity of duration and number of questions have also been revised by the examination authorities for the current session examination.

Q: Β  How many subjects can I choose for the CUET exam?
A:

From CUET UG 2026 onwards, candidates can now choose for five CUET subjects. Earlier, the subject choices were six. With the rediuction in number of CUET subjects, the choices have been reduced. Candidates can opt for five subjects from 23 domain subjects of any stream irrespective of subjects studied in class 12th. 

Q: Β  When can I apply for the CUET exam?
A:

National Testing Agency (NTA) will commence the CUET UG 2026 registrations at cuet.nta.nic.in. Candidates desirous of taking admission to University/college through CUET must fill the application form before the deadline. On the release of the CUET notification important dates for CUET 2026 will be announced. CUET 2025 application process will be in online mode. Candidates will be required to fill the application form, upload documents and pay the application fee in online mode only. CUET is a gateway to more tahn 250 universities across India for its UG courses.

Q: Β  How do I apply for a college which requires CUET percentage even though am yet to give CUET?
A:

Candidates can apply for CUET score accepting colleges through CUET UG 2025 application form. While filling the application form, candidates will be required to enter the name of the preffered universities and courses in order of preference. On declaration of the CUET results, the scores will be shared with the universities for which candidate has applied. Basis on the score obtained candidate will be shortlisted for the applied course.
