The scholarship aims to support women aspiring to become future leaders in technology and data-driven sectors—fields with rapidly growing demand for digital expertise and gender diversity.

The University of Wollongong (UOW) India, based at Gujarat’s GIFT City, has announced the Women Leaders in FinTech & Data Analytics Scholarship — a prestigious award offering 50% tuition fee reduction to high-achieving Indian female students enrolling in select postgraduate programs in Financial Technology, Financial Technology (Extension), and Computing (Data Analytics).

The scholarship aims to support women aspiring to become future leaders in technology and data-driven sectors—fields with rapidly growing demand for digital expertise and gender diversity.

Who Can Apply

To be eligible, applicants must:

Be Indian citizens

Commence their studies in 2025 or 2026

Hold a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 75 or above (or equivalent)

Not be recipients of other tuition-based scholarships or sponsorships (stipend-based support is allowed)

The scholarship is specifically designed to reduce financial barriers and promote female representation in emerging tech and finance industries.

Recent Awardees and Vision

The 2025 recipient of the scholarship is Shivangi Mishra, following Cerin Elsa Joji, who was awarded in 2024 while pursuing her Master of Financial Technology (Extension).

Nimay Kalyani, Campus Director of UOW India, said the scholarship reflects UOW’s mission to foster inclusion in high-impact sectors: “We’re committed to creating opportunities for women to thrive in areas where they’ve historically been underrepresented. Through this scholarship, we hope to reduce financial barriers and support a new generation of female leaders in the rapidly growing fields of technology and analytics.”
