The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the deadline for admissions to its July 2025 session. Candidates seeking admission to Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Diploma, and Certificate programmes in Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and fully online modes can now apply till 15 August 2025, according to the latest official announcement.

Taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), IGNOU announced: “Last date for submission of Application to ODL and Online Programmes extended till 15 August 2025. Portal for ODL Programme: ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. Portal for Online Programme: ignouiop.samarth.edu.in

The extension comes as a relief to thousands of aspirants who were unable to complete their applications by the previous deadline of 31 July 2025.

Interested candidates must apply through the respective portals:

Applicants are advised to register and create a login ID, fill in programme-specific details, upload necessary documents, and pay the requisite fee before submitting their application. A Distance Education Bureau (DEB) ID is required for validation in accordance with UGC norms.
