KV Admission 2020: Kendriya Vidyalaya Class 1 Online registration process begins; know where and how to apply

KVS has begun the online admission process for the Class 1 for academic year 2020-21. Read further to know how to apply and important documents required.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has started the KVS Admissions 2020 process from today i.e. July 20 on its official website i.e kvsangathan.nic.in and kvsonlineadmissions.kvs.gov.in. Parents can apply for Kendriya Vidyalaya Class 1 admissions for the academic year 2020-21 on or before August 7. Admission for Class 2 and above along with Class 11 will also begin from today. The registration for Class 2 onwards can be done on or before July 25 if vacancies exist (in offline mode). 

"Online Registration for Admission to Class I in Kendriya Vidyalayas for the Academic Year 2020-2021 will commence at 10:00 am on July 20, 2020, and will close at 7:00 pm on August 7, 2020. Registration for Class 2 and above will be done from July 20 at 8:00 am to July 25, 2020, up to 4:00 pm if vacancies exist (in offline mode)," KVS Admission Notice 2020-2021 read.

The first list of provisionally selected students for class 1 will be released on August 11, the second list will be out on August 24 (if seats remain vacant). The declaration of the provisional select list will be August 27 and 28, 2020. The declaration of the list of Class 2 onwards will be available on July 29, 2020, and admission will commence from July 30 till August 7, 2020.

• Go to the official website of KV Sangathan
• Go to the admission portal link available on the homepage
• Click on the application link
• Fill your details in the application form
• Submit the form
• Take a print out of the form submitted for the future reference.

KV Admissions 2020: Documents Required

• A digital photograph or scanned photograph of the child seeking admission (JPEG file of size at most 256KB)
• A scanned copy of the child’s birth certificate (JPEG or PDF file of size at most 256KB)
• Details of government certificate in case you are applying under the Economically weak section, EWS
• Transfer details of parent/grandparent whose service credentials are being used in the application

KVS Admission 2020: Important Dates to remember

• Registration for fresh candidates will be subject to availability.
• In case a vacancy arises in future, registration can be made after wide publicity on the local level or KVS website.
• Admission to Class 11 will be given within 20 days of declaration of CBSE Class 10 results. CBSE will be declaring the CBSE 10th Result 2020 on July 15, 2020. Post which students can apply for admission into Class 11.
• Registration forms will be made available free of cost by principals. For Class 1, registration will be done on the online admission portal when it is live.
