बार काउंसिल ऑफ इंडिया ने सुप्रीम कोर्ट को बताया कि AIBE परीक्षा साल में दो बार की जाएगी। BCI ने घोषणा की कि फाइनल सेमेस्टर के लॉ स्टूडेंट्स को ऑल इंडिया बार एग्जामिनेशन (AIBE) में बैठने की इजाज़त दी जाएगी। बीसीआई ने AIBE 21 की तारीखों की घोषणा कर दी है| AIBE 21 परीक्षा 7 जून, 2026 को होगी। उम्मीदवार 11 फरवरी, 2026 से 30 अप्रैल, 2026 तक AIBE 21 एप्लीकेशन फॉर्म 2025 भर सकेंगे।
BCI ने जस्टिस विक्रम नाथ और संदीप मेहता की बेंच को यह भी बताया कि अब से AIBE हर साल एक बार होने के बजाय साल में दो बार होगा।
BCI के वकील ने कहा। "यह वह मामला है जहाँ यह चाहा गया था कि) पिछले सेमेस्टर में, छात्रों को AIBE में बैठने की अनुमति दी जानी चाहिए। हमने नियम बना दिए हैं। प्रार्थनाओं का ध्यान रखा गया है। AIBE साल में कम से कम दो बार आयोजित किया जाएगा और पिछले सेमेस्टर के छात्रों को AIBE exam में बैठने की अनुमति दी जाएगी, बशर्ते वे फाइनल (सेमेस्टर) परीक्षा पास कर लें।."
फाइनल-सेमेस्टर के लॉ स्टूडेंट्स को अब आधिकारिक तौर पर ग्रेजुएट होने से पहले ऑल इंडिया बार एग्जामिनेशन (AIBE) में बैठने की इजाज़त है, बशर्ते उनके पिछले सेमेस्टर में कोई बैकलॉग न हो।
बार काउंसिल ऑफ़ इंडिया (BCI) ने इस बदलाव को औपचारिक रूप देने के लिए "BCI रूल्स 2026" बनाए हैं, जिसमें यह भी ज़रूरी है कि AIBE exam 2026 साल में कम से कम दो बार आयोजित किया जाए। इस सुधार का मकसद लॉ ग्रेजुएट्स को उनके प्रोफेशनल जीवन का एक साल बर्बाद होने से बचाना है, ताकि वे एग्जाम जल्दी पास कर सकें और अपनी डिग्री पूरी करने के तुरंत बाद वकील के तौर पर एनरोल हो सकें।
