The National Law University of Delhi has published a notification inviting Foreign Nationals & OCI/PIO Category students to apply for counselling for BA LLB program. Read below to know the eligibility and important dates.
NLU Delhi is inviting students belonging to the Foreign Nationals & OCI/PIO Category who applied for AILET 2025 directly for the counselling process for admission to 5-year integrated BA LLB program. The total number of seats offered is 10, among which 5 seats are reserved for Foreign Nationals and 5 seats for candidates belonging to the OCI and PIO category.
The candidates interested in applying for the course should have a 10+2 degree or equivalent and the admission will be solely based on merit in the qualifying exam. Candidates must possess 65% marks or equivalent to be eligible for admission to the program.

The counselling registration will be online only. The fee for online counselling will be INR 1,00,000 which will be adjusted in Final Fee Payment.

The last date to fee payment for NLU Delhi BA LLB program counselling for Foreign Nationals and PIO/OCI is May 25, 2025. The counselling fee will be accepted through Credit card, Debit card, Netbanking, UPI, etc.
Documents Required for Online Counselling
Following self-attested documents will have to uploaded in PDF format only during online counselling in serial order given below only:
- 10+2 or equivalent qualification certificate showing 65% and above
- Class 10th marksheet
- Valid Character Certificate
A provisional merit list will be issued for candidates who will then be invited to pay the final admission fee and book their seats.
Definition of Foreign Nationals and OCI/PIO category Students
Foreign nationals are the ones holding citizenship other than the India and having a valid passport. Whereas, OCI category means Overseas Citizen of India and PIO are Person of Indian Origin as per the Govt. notification.

The ailet counselling registration will commence in December 2025. During the counselling process, the candidates who have qualified in the AILET exam will be required to register online and fill in their preferences for the National Law University (NLU) of their choice. The counselling process involved document verification, seat allotment, and fee payment. The seat allotment is based on the candidate's rank, preference, and availability of seats. It is recommended to regularly check the official website of NLU Delhi or the AILET portal for the latest updates regarding the counselling process and schedule.
Candidates must note that the counseling fee has to be paid online using Digital Payment methods like Credit/ Debit cards, Net-banking, UPI, etc. only. Candidates can check the AILET 2025 Counselling registration fee below. Candidates who will register for the AILET 2025 counselling will only be allowed to appear. Candidates must note that only those who have their name in the merit list will be allowed to appear in the AILET 2025 Counselling process.
