The Professional Advancement in Law through Executive Training & Technical Education initiative aims to enhance AI readiness in India's legal system. The program will provide AI tools and training for legal research, case classification, document review, and courtroom automation. The focus is on creating capacity for lawyers, judges, judicial personnel, and law students.

PALETTE 2025

BITS Law School and PanScience Innovations have launched PALETTE Centre—a first-of-its-kind centre dedicated to integrating artificial intelligence and emerging technologies into legal education, practice, and judicial processes powered by Nyaay AI (a venture of PanScience Innovations). The PALETTE (Professional Advancement in Law through Executive Training & Technical Education) initiative seeks to enhance AI readiness in India's legal system. The program will provide AI tools and training for legal research, case classification, document review, and courtroom automation. The focus is on creating capacity for lawyers, judges, judicial personnel, and law students.

Former Chief Justice of India, Dr. D.Y. Chandrachud, was the chief guest of the event, who highlighted the requirement of AI in Law, saying, “Lawyers today must not only interpret statutes but also understand how AI systems arrive at their recommendations.”

The event also featured a live demonstration of Nyaai AI, a tool developed by PanScience Innovations that automates case summarisation, document classification, and predictive judgment analysis. These technologies are relevant to India's judicial system and aim to revolutionise AI use in law firms, policy-making, and in-house legal departments.

In addition to training, the PALETTE Centre intends to function as a national and worldwide thought hub.  It will host international experts, seminars, and joint research projects focusing on AI legislation, ethical frameworks, and legal innovation. Collaborations with legal-tech enterprises and regulatory agencies will help the centre align with global best practices and address emerging difficulties.
