CLAT 2025 Result: Aditya Singh, a candidate challenging the results of the 2025 Common Law Admission Test (CLAT-UG), informed the Delhi High Court that he intends to approach the Supreme Court to seek the transfer of his case from the High Court to the top court. Singh's lawyer told the Bench, led by Acting Chief Justice Vibhu Bakhru and Justice Tushar Rao Gedela, that since similar matters are pending in other High Courts, they will request the Supreme Court to consolidate these cases and hear them. The Division Bench adjourned the matter until January 30.
The High Court had earlier granted an adjournment of Singh's matter. Singh is challenging the December 20 ruling of Justice Jyoti Singh, who partly upheld his petition regarding alleged errors in certain CLAT-UG questions. Justice Singh agreed with Singh's claim that two out of five questioned flagged had clear errors and directed the Consortium of NLUs to revise the results for those questions. The NLU Consortium, along with Singh, has appealed the decision to the Division Bench. The Consortium contends that the single judge overstepped by acting as an expert and interfering with decisions made by exam experts.
On the other hand, Singh wants to expand the correction's scope, arguing that three additional questions also contain blatant mistakes. When the Division Bench heard the matter on December 24, it decided not to stay the single-judge order, allowing the Consortium to proceed with the results adjustments for the two questions flagged by Singh. In addition, the CLAT PG exam has faced similar controversies over incorrect answer keys, with challenges currently being heard in the Madhya Pradesh and Bombay High Courts.
