The Department of Legal Affairs (DoLA), Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India, has announced the LLB Internship Programme 2024. This initiative offers law students and graduates a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in legal research, court operations, and various specialized areas of law.

LLB Internship Programme 2024: Application Process Begins, Apply On or Before Dec 9

The Department of Legal Affairs (DLA) has officially announced the launch of its LLB Internship Programme 2024. This initiative aims to expose law students to the legal system and enhance their understanding of public policy and legal issues in India. The programme will allow students to work alongside legal professionals in various departments and gain valuable experience. Candidates can fill the application form on or before December 9, 2024. A maximum of 50 candidates will be selected each month.

The internship is open to students currently enrolled in an LLB (Bachelor of Laws) course from recognised law schools nationwide. Selected candidates will be assigned to different legal departments within the DLA, where they will have the chance to assist in research, case analysis, drafting legal documents, and other crucial aspects of legal work.

The internship is designed to provide an enriching learning experience, fostering a deeper understanding of the intersection of law and governance. Students will also get the opportunity to interact with experienced legal professionals and government officials, helping them build networks within the legal field.

Key Highlights of the LLB Internship Programme 2024:

  • Eligibility: Open to students pursuing an LLB course from any recognized law college in India.
  • Duration: The internship will be for a fixed duration of 4-6 weeks.
  • Application Process: Interested students can apply through the official website of the Department of Legal Affairs. The application process will involve submitting a CV and a statement of purpose.
  • Selection Criteria: Selection will be based on academic performance, relevant experience, and an interview process.
  • Location: Interns will be placed at various offices of the Department of Legal Affairs, including in New Delhi and other locations across India.
  • Certificate: Upon successful completion of the internship, candidates will receive a certificate of internship from the Department of Legal Affairs.
