Is 93 percentile good in MHCET LLB?
Yes, 93 percentile in MH CET LLB is actually quite good. It means you scored better than most students who appeared for the exam. With that percentile, you can expect a decent chance of getting admission in some of the top law colleges in Maharashtra, especially if you belong to the open or general category.
However, exact cutoffs change every year depending on how tough the paper was and how many students applied. For top government colleges like Government Law College (GLC) Mumbai or ILS Pune, cutoffs usually go very high often above 95 percentile. But with 93, you still stand a strong chance for other reputed colleges like Rizvi Law College, KC Law College, or New Law College.
So yes, 93 percentile is a good score in MH CET Law, though getting into the absolute top colleges might be a bit competitive.

What is the difference between CLAT and MH CET Law?
CLAT and MH CET Law both are entrance exams for law courses in India, but they not same. CLAT is for national level, while MH CET Law is only for Maharashtra state colleges. You can say CLAT open doors to top NLUs across India, but MH CET Law gives admission mainly in government and private law colleges inside Maharashtra. CLAT exam is tougher compare to MH CET Law because competition is higher and syllabus more deep. In CLAT, you get questions from English, Current Affairs, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Techniques. MH CET Law also ask from similar topics but level is bit easier and more direct.
If you want to study in National Law Universities, you must go for CLAT. But if your goal is to study in Maharashtra, MH CET Law is enough. CLAT is conducted by Consortium of NLUs once a year, while MH CET Law is organized by State CET Cell, Maharashtra. CLAT exam pattern is offline and has negative marking, but MH CET Law is online and no negative marks. So, strategy for both exams is different.

Total Percentile (TP) = 100 X No. of candidates appeared from the session with raw score equal to or less than T1 score
Total No. of Candidates appeared for the session
Step-3: The Percentile scores for the Total Raw Score for all the four sessions (Session- 1: Day-1 Batch 1-1, Session-2: Day-1 batch-2 and Session-3: Day-1 Batch-3 as calculated in Step-2 above would be merged and shall be called the CET Percentile scores which will then be used for compilation of result.

Can I join LLB without CLAT?
Yes, you can join LLB without CLAT. Some colleges take students through their own entrance exams or direct admission based on marks. You don’t always need CLAT for LLB admission. Many private universities and state colleges offer LLB courses without CLAT score. If you want to study law after 12th or graduation, you can apply for MH CET Law, LSAT India, or other state-level exams. These exams also help you get into good law colleges.
CLAT is mainly for National Law Universities (NLUs), but not all law colleges in India need it. So, if you miss CLAT or don’t want to take it, you still have many options for LLB admission. LLB without CLAT is possible and legal career can still be strong if you choose a recognized college. Always check the university’s eligibility and admission process before applying.
