The MHCET Law 2026 5-year LLB exam date was announced. As per the notification, the MHCET Law 2026 exam for 5-year LLB course is scheduled to be conducted on May 8, 2026. The admit card for the 3-yr LLB course will be issued online at, cetcell.mahacet.org. The application process for 5-yr and 3-yr has been extended.

The Maharashtra CET cell has EXTENDED the application process for the 5-yr LLB course. The MH CET Law exam dates for both the 3-yr and 5-yr LLB courses are shared below. The exams will be held online at the designated test centres. Check the complete MHCET Law event schedule here.

The Maharashtra CET Cell conducts the MH CET Law Entrance Exam for 3-year and 5-year LLB courses offered by participating universities. The MH CET LLB 5-year registration process 2026 for 5-year LLB has been EXTENDED. As per the revised dates, the application window is available till March 31, 2026. The MH CET LLB 5-year Application Form 2026 was released on January 9, 2026. The MH CET 2026 3-year LLB correction window closed on March 11.

The CET Cell released all the important dates related to the MH CET 5-year LLB programmes in the MHCET Law Notification 2026. The exam for both 5-year and 3-year LLB courses will be held in online mode. MHCET Law 5-year LLB exam date 2026 is May 8, 2026. Candidates who wish to appear for the MHCET Law Exam 2026 must fill out the application form on or before the last date.   • Go to the official portal of the Maharashtra CET Cell. 
  • Click on the "CET Examination Portal" link for a five-year LLB.
  • A new webpage will be opened.
  • Login using your application number, date of birth and password generated during registration.

How to Download the MH CET Law 2026 Answer Key?

The MHCET Law answer key for 3-year LLB and 5-Year LLB courses will be available to download on the official portal. The preliminary answer key will be published first, and candidates will be able to raise objections to the preliminary answer key during the objection window. Thereafter, the final answer key will be released.

How to Download the MH CET Law 5-year LLB Merit List?

 Follow the process given below to access the MH CET Law 2026 Round 1 merit list for the 5-year LLB course: 

  • Go to the MAH CET official website 
  • Click on the "Admission A.Y 2026-27" tab. 
  • Click on the "LLB. 5-Years" tab. 
  • Click on the merit list link for your respective category and save it as a PDF.

What After MH CET Law 5-year LLB 2026 Counselling Registration?

Candidates who will successfully register for the CAP Round for Law CET Maharashtra will then be invited to participate in the MH CET LLB 5-year Counselling Process. The MAH CET Law examination cell will release the alphabetical and final merit list after each round. In the process, candidates will have an option to ‘Float’ or ‘Freeze’. Once the candidate freezes the college for admission, they will have to get their documents verified and confirm the seat by paying the admission fee.

MH CET 5-year LLB 2026 Counselling Process

MH CET Law 2026 CAP process includes counselling registration by candidates, document verification, choice-locking, seat allocation, and confirmation of admission by the candidates. Once the CAP process completes, the CET Cell Maharashtra will releases provisional merit lists for MH CET 5-year LLB program. The MH CET Law seat allotment is done once the merit list is published.  

During the counselling process, candidates before accepting their seats have the option to ‘Freeze’ or ‘Float’ their choices.

  • Float option- If candidates are not satisfied with the allotted colleges, they can choose the ‘Float’ option. Candidates exercising this option are eligible for appearing in the subsequent counselling rounds. In case they are not offered seats, they can choose the previously allotted college.  
  • Freeze option- Candidates can exercise ‘Freeze’ option to confirm their allotment and if they do not want to participate in the further counselling rounds. They will accept the allotted college and pay the admission fee. Such candidates will not be considered for further counselling rounds.

MH CET 5-year LLB 2026 Tie-Breaking Method

In a case where candidates secure the same rank or marks, the following method of tie-breaking is applied:

  • Candidates with a higher percentage of marks in Class 12 or equivalent exam are given preference in the merit list
  • Candidates securing higher percentage of marks in the first language in Class 12
  • Candidates with a high percentage of marks in Class 10
  • A higher percentage of marks in English in Class 10 or equivalent exam

In the MHCET Law 3-yr LLB exam, if a candidate gets 100  to 115 questions right, then he/she holds high chances of getting admission to top colleges. However, a good attempt can be somewhere between 92 to 110 questions out of 120 questions.

As per the initial student reaction, the MHCET Law 2026 3-year LLB entrance exam was of an Easy to Moderate difficulty level. The English section was easy and less questions were asked from the current affairs section this year.

SGBAU MH CET Law cutoff 2025 was 76.78 for the BA LLB course in the 3rd round. In 2024 and 2023, the cutoff was 35.86 and 55, respectively. As per these cutoff ranks, we can see that the cutoff trend has seen fluctuation.

The last date to make changes to the MH CET Law application form for the 3-year LLB course was March 11, 2026. Post this date, no candidate will be allowed to make any corrections. No application fee will be accepted after this date for the 3-year LLB course.
