MH CET Law 5-year LLB 2026: Application Extended, Exam Date (May 8), Admit Card, Preparation Tips

MH CET Law 5-year LLB Latest Updates

The Maharashtra CET Cell conducts the MH CET Law Entrance Exam for 3-year and 5-year LLB courses offered by participating universities. The MH CET LLB 5-year registration process 2026 for 5-year LLB has been EXTENDED. As per the revised dates, the application window is available till March 31, 2026. The MH CET LLB 5-year Application Form 2026 was released on January 9, 2026. The MH CET 2026 3-year LLB correction window closed on March 11.

The CET Cell released all the important dates related to the MH CET 5-year LLB programmes in the MHCET Law Notification 2026. The exam for both 5-year and 3-year LLB courses will be held in online mode. MHCET Law 5-year LLB exam date 2026 is May 8, 2026. Candidates who wish to appear for the MHCET Law Exam 2026 must fill out the application form on or before the last date. MH CET 5-Year LLB 2026 Application Form 

The MH CET application form 2026 for the 5-year LLB was available on the official website of State CET Cell, cetcell.mahacet.org and portal.maharashtracet.org till March 31. The MH CET for Law 2026 registration cum application form was mandatory to appear for the MH Law CET entrance exam.

• Visit the official portal of CET Cell Maharashtra, cetcell.mahacet.org
• Click on the CET Exam tab. 
• Click on 5-yr LLB tab (select the tab for the course for which you want to fill out the application form). 
• Now register yourself for the exam 
• Fill in your personal details and permanent address details,
• Enter your email ID and mobile number for registration. 
• Generate a password and complete the registration process. 
• Now, sign up again by entering your application number and password. 
• Fill out the form and upload your passport-size picture and a scanned copy of your signature. 
• Pay the application fee, save, and submit the MHCET Law application.

The MH CET Law admit card 2026 for the 5-year LLB entrance exam will be released online. Know how to download the MH CET LLB 5-year admit card:

• Go to the official portal of the Maharashtra CET Cell. 
• Click on the "CET Examination Portal" link for a five-year LLB.
• A new webpage will be opened.
• Login using your application number, date of birth and password generated during registration.
• Click on the View/ Print Admit Card link. 
• Download and save your admit card for MH CET Law.

How to Check MH CET 5-Year LLB Result 2026

To check the MH CET LLB 5-year result, follow the process given below:

• Visit cetcell.mahacet.org
• Navigate through the homepage to find the MH CET 5-year LLB result link
• OR, Click on ‘CET Examination Portal AY 2026-27’, a new page will open
• Fill in your registration number and password
• Click on Scorecard tab, download the PDF
• Take the print out of MH CET LLB 5-year result card for future reference

Details Mentioned on MH CET 5-Year LLB 2026 Result Card

Aspirants must carefully check the details mentioned on the MH CET LLB 5-year Score Card 2026. The following details will be mentioned on the MH CET Law scorecard:

• Name of the candidate
• Course opted for
• Shift of the MH CET Law entrance exam
• Roll number of the candidate
• Application/ Registration number of the candidate
• MH CET Law raw scores
• MH CET Law 3-year LLB normalised score
• MH CET Law percentile
• Subject-wise marks obtained in MH CET Law
• Category-wise rank in MH CET Law

Candidates who will successfully register for the CAP Round for Law CET Maharashtra will then be invited to participate in the MH CET LLB 5-year Counselling Process. The MAH CET Law examination cell will release the alphabetical and final merit list after each round. In the process, candidates will have an option to ‘Float’ or ‘Freeze’. Once the candidate freezes the college for admission, they will have to get their documents verified and confirm the seat by paying the admission fee.

MH CET 5-year LLB 2026 Counselling Process

MH CET Law 2026 CAP process includes counselling registration by candidates, document verification, choice-locking, seat allocation, and confirmation of admission by the candidates. Once the CAP process completes, the CET Cell Maharashtra will releases provisional merit lists for MH CET 5-year LLB program. The MH CET Law seat allotment is done once the merit list is published.  

During the counselling process, candidates before accepting their seats have the option to ‘Freeze’ or ‘Float’ their choices.

• Float option- If candidates are not satisfied with the allotted colleges, they can choose the ‘Float’ option. Candidates exercising this option are eligible for appearing in the subsequent counselling rounds. In case they are not offered seats, they can choose the previously allotted college.  
• Freeze option- Candidates can exercise ‘Freeze’ option to confirm their allotment and if they do not want to participate in the further counselling rounds. They will accept the allotted college and pay the admission fee. Such candidates will not be considered for further counselling rounds.

Factors Affecting MH CET 5-year LLB 2026 Cut off

The MH CET 5-year LLB cutoff 2026 will be calculated based on the following factors:

• Difficulty level of the exam
• Total number of test-takers
• The MH CET law 2026 merit ranks of applicants.
• Total number of seats for admission
• Total number of applications received for admission

However, the given parameters are variables and in case of changes, the MH CET cutoff would also change.

MH CET 5-year LLB 2026 Tie-Breaking Method

In a case where candidates secure the same rank or marks, the following method of tie-breaking is applied:

• Candidates with a higher percentage of marks in Class 12 or equivalent exam are given preference in the merit list
• Candidates securing higher percentage of marks in the first language in Class 12
• Candidates with a high percentage of marks in Class 10
• A higher percentage of marks in English in Class 10 or equivalent exam
