Steps to Download the MH CET Law 2025 Round 3 5-year LLB Final Merit List
Follow the steps given below to access the MH CET Law 2025 Round 3 final merit list for the 5-year LLB course:
- Go to the MAH CET official website - https://cetcell.mahacet.org/cap-_2025-26/ OR https://llb5cap25.mahacet.org/
- Click on the "Admission A.Y 2025-26" tab.
- Click on the "L.L.B. 5-Years" tab.
- Click on the merit list link for your respective category and save it as a PDF.
The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test Cell is likely to conduct the MH CET Law 3-year LLB & 5-year LLB exam in April 2026. The exam will be held in Maharashtra state and nearby cities. The MH CET Law 2025 exam for admission to 5-year LLB & 3-year LLB courses will held in computer-based mode at test centres allotted to applicants.
The MH CET Law 2026 exam dates will be released on the official website of CET Cell Maharashtra with the title "CET Cell Maharashtra". These dates are subject to revision by the exam authority.
MH CET Law 2025 will be conducted in two shifts: the morning shift and the afternoon shift. The reporting timing for shift 1, or the morning shift, is 7:30 AM. The MH CET Law 2025 exam for this shift will be conducted from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.However, the reporting time for the MH CET Law 2025 afternoon shift or shift 2 exam is 12:30 PM. The MH CET Law 2025 shift 2 exam is from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Candidates need to make sure they reach the MH CET Law exam centre at least 30 minutes before the reporting time for security purposes and understand the seating arrangement.
Candidates who will successfully register for the CAP Round for Law CET Maharashtra will then be invited to participate in the CAP rounds for MH CET for Law. The MAH CET Law examination cell will release the alphabetical and final merit list after each round. In the process, candidates will have an option to ‘Float’ or ‘Freeze’. Once the candidate freezes the college for admission, they will have to get their documents verified and confirm the seat by paying the admission fee.
MH CET Law 2025 Counselling Process
MH CET Law 2025 CAP process includes counselling registration by candidates, document verification, choice-locking, seat allocation, and confirmation of admission by the candidates. Once the CAP process completes, the CET Cell Maharashtra releases provisional merit lists for MH CET Law in multiple rounds for MH CET 5-year LLB program. The MH CET Law seat allotment is done once the merit list is published.
During the counselling process, candidates before accepting their seats have the option to ‘Freeze’ or ‘Float’ their choices.
- Float option- If candidates are not satisfied with the allotted colleges, they can choose the ‘Float’ option. Candidates exercising this option are eligible for appearing in the subsequent counselling rounds. In case they are not offered seats, they can choose the previously allotted college.
- Freeze option- Candidates can exercise ‘Freeze’ option to confirm their allotment and if they do not want to participate in the further counselling rounds. They will accept the allotted college and pay the admission fee. Such candidates will not be considered for further counselling rounds.

In a case where candidates secure the same rank or marks, the following method of tie-breaking is applied:
- Candidates with a higher percentage of marks in Class 12 or equivalent exam are given preference in the merit list
- Candidates securing higher percentage of marks in the first language in Class 12
- Candidates with a high percentage of marks in Class 10
- A higher percentage of marks in English in Class 10 or equivalent exam
