Candidates will be attempting MH CET Law 2026 question paper based on English Comprehension, Legal Aptitude and Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, General Knowledge and Current Affairs and Mathematics. The Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, will conduct MH CET Law 2026 for the three-year LLB course and 5-year LLB course. The CET Cell announced the MH CET Law Exam Dates 2026 in an official notification. As per the notice, the MHCET 3-year LLB exam will be April 01, 2026, and April 02, 2026. The MH Law CET 2026 5-year LLB exam will be conducted on May 08, 2026.

The MH CET Law syllabus stays same for both courses. It has subjects like Legal Aptitude and Reasoning, General Knowledge and Current Affairs, Logical and Analytical Reasoning, English, and Mathematics. Each topic helps to test different skills needed for the exam. Before starting preparation, it’s important to go through the MHCET Law exam pattern carefully. Q:   What is the revised MH CET Law exam Pattern?

The State Common Entrance Cell, Maharashtra has released the revised exam pattern of the MH CET Law 2025 for the five-year and 3-year LLB programmes. The exam authority changed the total number of questions to be asked to 120 from 150.

Three year LLB programme entrance exam has Legal Aptitude and Legal Reasoning, General Knowledge with Current Affairs, Logical and Analytical Reasoning, English. Same subjects for the five-year LLB course as well but with Mathematical Aptitude as well. 

Q:   Which is a scoring section in MH CET Law?
A:

Candidates are advised to focus on all the sections asked in the MH CET Law exam. Each section carry importance and finally add into the final score. Also, you can see the weightage of the sections asked in MHCET Law exam, the Legal Aptitude and Logical Reasoning sections carry more marks than the other sections. In the 3-year LLB exam of Maharashtra LAWCET, English section also carry more weightage in the exam. Students should have a strategic approach while preparing for the exam, keeping in mind the exam pattern and MHCET Law marking scheme.

MHCET Law 2026 Preparation Tips: English

This subject is the most scoring among all the sections. However, candidates can fail to score well in English if they do not work on reading skills and prepare well. Moreover, key topics mentioned below should be prepared sufficiently:

  • Vocabulary (Synonyms, Antonyms, Analogies),
  • Proficiency (Idioms, Phrases, One-word substitution, Sentence Improvement, Rearrangement, Fill in the blanks),
  • English Usage Errors (Common Errors, Spotting Errors, Inappropriate usage of words, spelling mistakes)
  • English Comprehension with two passages followed by five to ten questions based on reasoning and testing abilities

For this, candidates should:

  • Read on a regular basis and clarify grammatical concepts as well
  • Practice at least 5-10 questions every day and two-three mock tests in a week
  • Improve vocabulary by learning new words and writing them down in a notepad. Also, write down Synonyms, Antonyms, Analogies along with the definition

MHCET Law 2026 Preparation Tips: Mathematical Aptitude

This section of MHCET Law carries the least weightage in the question paper. However, candidates would be able to score full marks if they prepare it strategically. The syllabus shared by CET Cell Maharashtra for the Mathematics section of MHCET Law covers the following topics:

  • Profit and Loss
  • Speed, Distance and Time
  • Work
  • Algebra
  • Average
  • Venn Diagram

All the questions would be of elementary level and candidates need to:

  • Clarify at least two concepts and solve 10 questions on each topic regularly
  • To understand and retain the conceptual knowledge regularly, candidates should make notes while preparing them
