JMI Entrance Exam 2025: Provisional List Released for BA Geography, Sociology and Psychology
Candidates who appeared for JMI Entrance Exam 2025 can now check their selection status for B.A./B.Sc. (H) Geography, B.A. (H) Psychology and B.A. (H) Sociology courses. Also check JMI cut offs for the same courses.
JMI entrance exam result 2025
Following the JMI Entrance Exam 2025 from April 26 to May 31, the University has started releasing provisional list of selected candidates who have qualified the written test. Candidates who appeared for JMI Entrance Exam 2025 for B.A./B.Sc. (H) Geography, B.A. (H) Psychology and B.A. (H) Sociology courses can check their status in the merit list released by the University.
The JMI result cum provisional merit list has been released in pdf format and candidates can check it at : https://admission.jmi.ac.in/.
The shortlisted candidates will have to complete the admission requirements by visiting the Jamia Millia Islamia University. The documents have to be submitted between June 24 to June 26, 2025.
Documents to Submit for JMI Admission
For admission to JMI candidates will have to carry, the following documents. They will have to submit the originals of the following along with a self-attested photocopy.
- JMI entrance exam admit card
- JMI registration form
- Two recent passport size photographs
- Class 12 or HSC marksheet/passing certificate
- Date of birth certificate
- Category certificate under which candidate is applying for admission
- Proof of Permanent address (Voter ID Card, Passport, Driving License and Aadhar Card)
- Character Certificate from the last school attended.
- Certificate from an MBBS doctor or Government hospital certifying blood group
Candidates must note that, in case an intervening/gap period is involved, they will have to submit a certificate/affidavit from Class 1 Gazetted officer/Notary Public for the entire intervening/gap period showing year-wise pre-occupation and non indulgence in any criminal activities.

No, JMI does not specify a dress code to be followed while taking the JMI Entrance Exam. However, examinees must ensure that they refrain from dubious behaviour like carrying documents other than what is required (admit card, goverment-issued photo ID), checking folds of clothing while taking the exam, etc. If they are found to be engaging in activities like these, they may be booked under unfair means (UFM) and barred from taking the exam.
Your JMI exam centre details will be mentioned on your JMI Entrance Exam admit card. Notably, JMI Entrance Exam is conducted in various cities and applicants are given the option to choose their exam cities while filling out the application form. Applicants must also note that Delhi is the second default where the exam can be conducted. If a programme receives 49 or less applications, the entrance test for it is conducted in Delhi.
