IIM Kashipur witnessed an overwhelming response from the recruiters during its summer placement season with the highest stipend of INR 3, 30,000 for two months, recording an increase of 4.7%.

IIM Kashipur Summer Placements 2021: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kashipur successfully completed the summer placements drive for its flagship MBA program’s tenth batch and MBA Analytics program’s first batch. According to the official placement reports released by India’s one of the premier management institute, IIM Kashipur witnessed an overwhelming response from the recruiters during its summer placement season with the highest stipend of INR 3, 30,000 for two months, recording an increase of 4.7%. Despite the economic slowdown due to the ongoing pandemic situation, a total of 332 students from both the MBA and the MBA Analytics programs received 358 internship offers from leading organizations. The report suggests, that IIM Kashipur Summer Placement 2021 got the top 25 percent of the batch an average stipend of INR 1,56,903. Meanwhile, the industry gave a generous response to the inaugural MBA Analytics batch with the top 25% of the students receiving offers with an average stipend of INR 1,58,200 while the highest stipend stood at INR 3,15,000.

IIM Kashipur managed to maintain 100% summer placements for a batch size of 332 in a record time. Leading roles from sectors such as Finance, HR, Marketing and Sales, Consulting and Strategy, IT & Analytics, General Management, and Operations flooded the IIM Kashipur Summer Placements 2021. The highest number of recruiters including ICICI Bank, OfBusiness, SIDBI, TATA Capital, Yes Bank, Vivriti Capital participated from the BFSI sector. Students also bagged offers from leading organizations in Automotive, Aviation, Consulting, E-Commerce, Fintech, IT, FMCG, Manufacturing, Media, Steel, and Retail. Organisations such as Airtel, Bosch, Car Dekho, Cisco, Deloitte USI, Droom, ICICI Bank, Fareye, Jio Creative Labs, JK Spices, KPMG, Morgan Stanley, Paytm Money, Puma, TATA Steel BSL, The Outlook Group, and Xiaomi among others gave an enthusiastic response during the placement season.

Meanwhile, the drive also recorded an increase in the number of girl students securing offers from brands such as Airtel, Car Dekho, Droom, Fareye, ICICI Bank, Puma, and Yes Bank, across domains such as Analytics, Finance, HR, IT, Marketing, and Strategy. The current batch saw the highest ever participation from female and non-engineering background candidates. The batch gender diversity saw a healthy improvement from 11% to 25%, and academic diversity increased to 42%.

Talking about the overwhelming response received by the management institute during its summer placement drive, the Chairperson of Placements at IIM Kashipur, Professor Venkataraghavan K, said, "We are thankful to all the companies for choosing IIM Kashipur as their preferred destination for campus recruitment. We had an excellent placement season this year and look forward to continuing our association with the corporate sector through recruitment drives and other avenues of mutual talent enhancement."
