IIM Trichy PhD Admission 2024: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Tiruchirappalli is conducting admissions for  PhD and Executive PhD. Programmes in Management for the batch 2024. Interested candidates can pursue research in the following areas: (i) Economics & Public Policy (ii) Operations Management & Decision Sciences (iii) Information Systems & Analytics (iv) Strategy (v) Finance & Accounting (vi) Marketing (vii) Organizational Behavior & Human Resource Management

PhD Programme is a full-time, residential programme designed for a career in research and education of management. The executive PhD Programme is a non-residential programme designed for the academic needs of Senior Working Executives.

Eligibility Criteria

For PhD Programme:

Applicant must possess one of the following qualifications

• Master’s Degree in any discipline securing at least 60 percent marks/equivalent or a two-year Post-graduate Diploma securing at least 60 percent marks/equivalent, in addition to a Bachelor’s degree/equivalent with at least 60 percent marks /equivalent obtained after a minimum of three years of education
• Five-year / four-year Integrated Master’s Degree Programme in any discipline, with at least 60 percent marks/equivalent.
• A professional qualification like CA / ICWA / CS with at least 50 percent aggregate marks along with Bachelor’s degree with at least 60 percent marks.
• A 4-year / 8-semester Bachelor’s degree with at least 60 percent marks/equivalent. SC, ST and PwD applicants are eligible for relaxation of 5 percent marks.

Depending on the area of specialization selected, applicants should have a score in one of GMAT, GATE, GRE, UGC-JRF, IIMB as applicable.The score has to be valid as follows:GMAT and GRE last 5 years (January 2019 to December 2023); GATE last 3 years (2022 to 2024); CAT last 1 year (CAT exam conducted in 2023); IIMB Test conducted in November 2023 and January 2024.

For Executive PhD Programme:

• Applicants should be Full-time working executives with a minimum of 10 years of professional work experience by 31st March 2024.
• Applicants should have exposure to management education through area-specific qualifications/certifications/degrees and should hold a First class/equivalent in all the preceding degrees such as Post-graduation, Graduation, etc.
