Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has released a notification with the details on Karnataka PGCET choice filling process. Karnataka PGCET round 1 seat allotment results were out on October 4. Candidates who have been allotted a seat in the allotment results have to complete the Karnataka PGCET choice filling by tomorrow, October 7. The choice filling under Karnataka PGCET round 1 counselling is available on the official website, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea/pgcet2025.

Karnataka PGCET Choice Filling 2025: All 4 Choices Explained
Candidates have four choices that help them to indicate acceptance or rejection of the allocated seat. Karnataka PGCET 2025 choices are as follows:
Choice 1: Candidates opt for choice-1 if they are satisfied with the allotted seat and do not wish to participate in the PGCET round 2 counselling. Such candidates have to pay the fee, download the confirmation slip and report to the allotted college before the last date.
Choice 2: Candidates opt for choice-2 if they are satisfied with the allotment, however, still wish to consider the float option for a better allotment in round 2 counselling. Such candidates have to pay the fee, however, need not download the confirmation slip and report at the allotted college. In case of a better allotment in round 2 PGCET counselling, seats allotted in the current round will be offered to the next best candidate.
Choice 3: Candidates opt for choice-3 if they are not satisfied with the round 1 allotment and are interested to participate in the second allotment round. Such candidates need not pay the admission fee. In case no college is allotted in round 2 counselling, such candidates will not be allowed to claim the seat from round 1 PGCET seat allotment.
Choice 4: Candidates opt for choice-4 if they are not satisfied with the allotted seat and wish to opt out of the Karnataka PGCET counselling process. Such candidates are not eligible in any further rounds of Karnataka PGCET counselling.
Candidates who are not allotted any seat in the first round of Karnataka PGCET counselling need to login to the option entry portal once the round 2 allotment starts. Such candidates need to mark their consent to participate in the Karnataka PGCET round 2 allotment inside the login dashboard.
Note that the challan copy is a proof of the candidate’s candidature in Karnataka PGCET, hence it is an important document to retain. Candidates must reach out to the concerned bank or KEA for a resolution.
No, you cannot carry a calculator for the Karnataka PGCET exam. Besides canculators, candidates must not carry any of the below mentioned items to the exam centre:
- Mobile phones
- Pagers
- Smartwatches
- Pen-drive
- or any other electronic gadgets
Candidates found in possession of any of the above mentioned item will get their candidature disqualified from participating in the admission process. Candidates must only carry a hard copy of the Karnataka PGCET admit card on the exam day along with a valid photo ID proof. Failing this, applicants will face denial in entry to the exam hall.
