KEA has started the Karnataka PGCET option entry process on its official website. The last date to complete the PGCET option entry is September 28. Karnataka PGCET mock allotment result will be out on September 29.

Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has started the PGCET 2025 option entry process. Eligible candidates can submit their priority of options for admissions via Karnataka PGCET 2025 until September 28. The official website, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea/pgcet2025, hosts the Karnataka PGCET option entry link. Candidates are required to login to exercise options to participate in the admission process. In order to login, candidates must scan the claim slip, followed by entering their PGCET number.

Karnataka PGCET option entry login hosts the discipline-wise list of colleges and courses. Candidates have to choose their desired options in order of priority.

KEA plans to fill more than 20,000 seats via the first round of Karnataka PGCET MBA counselling.

Based on the options exercised, KEA will draft the Karnataka PGCET mock allotment results on September 29. After checking the Karnataka PGCET mock allotment results, candidates will be allowed to edit exercised options. The facility to edit options will be available for all eligible candidates from September 29 to October 3. As per the Karnataka PGCET counselling schedule, the first round provisional allotment results will be declared on October 3. PGCET first round final allotment results will be declared on October 4.

Along with the Karnataka PGCET allotment results, candidates will find the cutoff ranks for MBA, MCA and MTech courses on the official website.

Q:   Who releases Karnataka PGCET exam dates?
A:

Karnataka PGCET exam dates and event schedule is released by Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA).  KEA conducts the Karnataka PGCET exam for admission to MBA/MCA, and MTech courses offered by colleges in Karnataka. Besides these courses, candidates aspiring for MArch courses are also required to fill the PGCET form to be considered for the centralised counselling process. Karnataka MArch admissions are based on CoA's PGETA. 

KEA releases the schedule for Karnataka PGCET exam, including the application schedule, admit card dates, exam dates, answer key release schedule, and result declaration dates. Besides these events, KEA also conducts the centralised counselling process for MBA admission and the schedule for the same is released seperately.

Q:   I have lost my challan copy of having paid for PGCET MBA Karnataka. Is it necessary for verification?
A:

Note that the challan copy is a proof of the candidate’s candidature in Karnataka PGCET, hence it is an important document to retain. If the challan copy is lost, candidates must ensure that they have the challan number with them or anything that would be helpful in proving the candidature. Candidates can login to their candidate portal of Karnataka PGCET and check if the challan copy is a available for download.

The last resort is to contact the administration to inform them about the same. KEA will be able to provide the required resolution for the issue.

Q:   Can I carry a calculator for PGCET exams for MBA?
A:

No, you cannot carry a calculator for the Karnataka PGCET exam. Besides canculators, candidates must not carry any of the below mentioned items to the exam centre:

  • Mobile phones
  • Pagers
  • Smartwatches
  • Pen-drive
  • or any other electronic gadgets

Candidates found in possession of any of the above mentioned item will get their candidature disqualified from participating in the admission process. Candidates must only carry a hard copy of the Karnataka PGCET admit card on the exam day along with a valid photo ID proof. Failing this, applicants will face denial in entry to the exam hall.
