KMAT Kerala 2026 registrations have started for the Session 1 exam. The exam will be conducted on January 25, 2026, in the CBT test format. The last date to apply for KMAT Kerala is January 15, 2026. Students seeking admission to top MBA colleges in Kerala can appear for the KMAT Kerala exam 2026. Aspirants must check the KMAT Kerala eligibility criteria before filling the application form 2026 to ensure whether they are eligible to appear for the exam. The eligibility will be checked at the time of admission, and if they are found ineligible, they will not be offered admission. Along with the release of application forms, authorities have also announced some changes in the application process. KMAT Kerala 2026 Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for KMAT Kerala 2026 exam is as follows:
- Any graduate with three years of bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate from a UGC recognised university can apply for KMAT Kerala.
- Final year graduation students can also apply provisionally.
- Candidates must have a minimum aggregate in the qualifying exam prescribed by examination authority.
- There is no age limit
KMAT Kerala Application Process 2026: What's New
The KMAT application form can be filled online at cee.kerala.gov.in. This year, authorities have introduced life photo capture. Check below to know how to apply for KMAT Kerala 2026:
- Open KMAT Kerala website
- Register using details such as name, date of birth, mobile number, email ID and generate an Application Number
- Students also need to create a password.
- Now, complete the KMAT application form with other details such as communication details, academic details, category, etc.
- Pay the KMAT application fee. Application fee for General and SEBC candidates is INR 1000 and for SC candidates is INR 500. The application fee for ST candidates is NIL. Students can pay the application fee online using internet banking, credit card and debit card, etc.
- Finally, students have to upload the required documents in the prescribed format and size and take a print of the acknowledgement page.
Students have to upload a passport size photograph along with a live photograph. Students must capture a live photograph during the application process. Two options are available for photo capture. These are:
Option 1: Live Photo Capture Using Mobile Phone
- After filling the complete KMAT Kerala application form and making the payment, students have to click Open Camera option under Upload Images menu
- The mobile camera will open automatically
- Students should position their faces within the frame under proper light and visibility.
- Click Capture Photo and review the photo if it is clear and correct, and submit the same if it is correct
Option 2: Photo Capture Using Desktop/Laptop (via QR Code)
- After filling the complete KMAT Kerala application form and making the payment, students have to click Upload Image option on laptop screen
- A QR code will be displayed which can be scanned using the phone camera amd students will be redirected automatically to the photo capture page on the mobile device.
- Enter Application Number and Password
- Click Open Camera and allow camera access when prompted on the mobile device.
- Capture the photograph and submit it and the captured image will be automatically uploaded and linked to the KMAT application.
Documents Required for KMAT Kerala Registration
Following is list of documents required for KMAT Kerala registration 2026:
- Passport sized photograph- 10 KB to 100 KB in 150 X 200 pixels
- Scanned copy of signatures of the student- 4 KB to 100 KB in 10 X 100 pixels
- Category certificate, if applicable
- Academic details
Once the KMAT Kerala results are announced, candidates who match the cutoff criteria are then called for the further selection process which includes Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). Check out the table below to know the KMAT Kerala Selection Criteria weightage.

KMAT Kerala 2026 application form will likely be released in the last week of January 2026. The KMAT Kerala application fee is INR 1000 for all courses. But, the candidates who belong to SC and ST categories are eligible to avail a fee concession. Candidates belonging to the SC category need to pay an application fee of INR 500. Candidates belonging to the ST category do not have to pay any application fee. The candidates applying for the KMAT Kerala exam can pay the application fee online, through internet banking, credit card, debit card or UPI. They can also pay the KMAT Kerala application fee through e-Challan by clicking on the “Print e-Challan” tab while paying the application fee. Payment can be made in cash at any head or sub-post office in Kerala.

If you're a General/SEBC candidate, you need at least 72 marks out of 720 (10%) in KMAT Kerala to pass. But if you're from SC/ST/PWD category, you should get 54 marks (7.5%) to qualify. Only the aspirants who score above this criteria will be eligible for admission to the KMAT Kerala partiipating colleges.
