Junior Doctors Association (JDA) of Chhattisgarh said that they have got a positive response from Health Secretary Prasanna R on their demand of increasing the salaries of residents.

JDA Chhattisgarh tweeted, "Today, on January 30, 2023, Health Secretary Honorable Prasanna R talked about the recent protest by junior doctors at the Mahanadi Bhavan. He has shown a positive response to the demands."

On the positive assurance of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, the doctors have paused the strike till February 20, 2023.

"Team #FAIMA Chattisgarh has agreed to withdraw strike on assurance of @bhupeshbaghel Ji in favour of patients. If our demands are not met we will escalate our protest at #NationalLevel," says FAIMA India's tweet.

The doctors protested for five days to demand a salary hike which was not done in the last four years. Later on, through a release, they said that on positive assurances from the Chief Minister and Health Minister, they are pausing the strike till February 20, 2023, and expecting that the government will fulfil their demands and not take any action on the doctors who were participating in the strike.
