Preliminary investigations indicated that the accused, Bilal Ahmed (30) from Jaunpur and Suraj Prakash (32) from Ghaziabad, charged students between INR 10 lakh to 15 lakh for each forged certificate, tempting them with assurances of degrees from Kazakhstan, Romania, and other nations.

Fraud with Medical Students

Two men had been arrested for allegedly deceiving MBBS and BAMS students by presenting counterfeit degrees and promising admission abroad. As per the police reports, Preliminary investigations revealed that the accused, Bilal Ahmed (30) from Jaunpur and Suraj Prakash (32) from Ghaziabad, charged INR 10 lakh to 15 lakh for each fraudulent document, enticing students with promises of degrees from Kazakhstan, Romania, and other nations. 

As per TOI, SP of the area, Rakesh Kumar Mishra, notified that the matter was highlighted with the accused Arpit Jain, a resident of Sardhana in Meerut allegedly paid INR 5.8 Lakh to Prakash, who promised admission to medical college in Romania but later provided a fraudulent certificate to settle the matter. 

Police discovered fake migration certificates, marksheets, and degrees allegedly awarded by Chaudhary Charan Singh University in their possession. The SP claimed that digital evidence recovered from Prakash's phone included information on other students who had received fake degrees.

More investigation led to the imprisonment of Bilal, who had been operating under the false name Brajesh Kumar.  Police also recovered three mobile phones and a laptop holding data from approximately 15 universities in India. Reportedly, an investigation is currently being conducted to find additional people involved in the scam of cheating students willing to get admission overseas.
