Students and parents have been demanding NEET-UG exam postponement as the aspirants have not got enough time to prepare and multiple examinations like CUET and JEE are also scheduled in July.

NEET-UG is scheduled to be held on July 17

An association of parents have written to the Prime Minister seeking the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) postponement. NEET UG 2022 exam is scheduled to be held on July 17, 2022.

A section of students and parents have been demanding NEET exam postponement as the aspirants have not got enough time to prepare and multiple examinations like CUET and JEE are also scheduled in July.

India Wide Parents Association (IWPA) an association of parents have written to the PM Narendra Modi stating that many students and parents from across India are worried about the upcoming NEET UG Exam which is scheduled on July 17, 2022.

As per IWPA: โ€œThe main concern is the preparation time as the state counselling concluded a few days ago and board exams are also going on so students are not getting proper time for preparation.
The academic session for this batch will not start until February 2023 as per the recent notification. โ€œThen why students are being forced to appear for the exam when there will be no impact on their academic session,โ€ questioned IWPA.

Several other entrance exams are also scheduled during that time and according to IWPA, because of this, it will be very difficult for students to commute as they will be travelling to other cities to appear for these exams.

Lakhs of students have been raising their voices on Twitter. Many students have sent letters to Education Ministry and the National Testing Agency (NTA), the exam conducting body, but no one has responded so far.

"I, therefore, request you to kindly intervene and discuss with all the stakeholders and take a decision immediately and defer the exam by at least 40-45 days in the interest of lakhs of students.
You have helped students last year we again request you to kindly help them this year too,โ€ writes, Anubha Shrivastava Sahai, President, IWPA.
