Majority of students believe NEET PG 2025 exam will be postponed: Shiksha Poll

NBE may postpone NEET PG 2025 exam. The exam is scheduled to be held on June 15, 2025. Shiksha poll data says the exam is likely to be postponed. Students were asked what are chances of NEEET PG 2025 exam postponement. Majority selected 100 percent option. Candidates have to register online and fill application form to appear for the exam, to be held in online mode.

NEET PG 2025 could be postponed

NEET PG 2025 exam is scheduled to be held on June 15, 2025. But students have no idea at all whether National Board of Examinations (NBE) will conduct the exam or postpone it further. No official clarification has been provided regarding NEET PG 2025 exam postponement. Shiksha ran a poll on NEET PG 2025 postponement where students expressed their views stating NBE will postpone the exam most likely.

Recently the social media sites were abuzz with the news of NEET PG exam postponement as counselling for previous session was getting delayed. At the time when students were expecting the counselling to get over, NBE reduced the cut off up to 5 percentiles. Special stray round counselling is still under process. Whole process of NEET PG seat allocation for 2024-25 session will be over by the end of March. Students say why the delay in counselling when the exam was held in August 2024. Last year the exam was postponed thrice from March to July and then preponed to June. Finally, the exam was held in August.

NEET PG 2025 will be postponed most likely, opine students in Shiksha Poll

Students were asked about chances of NEET PG 2025 postponement and majority of them selected 100 percent option. They were provided 4 options, 50 percent, 75 percent, 100 percent and last one was can’t say options. Around 35 percent students selected ‘100 percent’ option, followed by 34 percent students who opted ‘can’t say’ option. 16 percent students believed chances of NEET PG 2025 exam postponement was 75%. 15 percent students were on middle ground, i.e they believed chances are 50-50.

Likely Reasons for NEET PG 2025 Postponement

There are reasons for students to believe NEET PG 2025 postponement. First of reasons is delay in registration process. NBE has yet not announced any notification regarding NEET PG 2025 registration. As whole application process takes around 2 to 2.5 months, NBE should ideally start registration process. Second reason is recent announcement of deduction of NEET PG 2025 cut off. After cut off deduction, special round is under process currently.

How NEET PG 2025 Postponement will affect students

Those who want exam postponement believe they will get extra time for NEET PG 2025 postponement. While those who oppose the move say exam postponement may delay their career growth. Whole academic session will be affected with delay, students say. Meanwhile, students are advised to continue the studies as per the current schedule.
