MoA, NZ officials met to discuss cooperation in education, research in traditional medicine

The Ministry of Ayush and the Ministry of External Affairs officials held a meeting with New Zealand’s officials to discuss cooperation in education and research in traditional. The discussions were around the nutritional value of food, health claims, intellectual property, & education.

Ministry of Ayush and Ministry of External Affairs held a meeting with New Zealand’s officials, under the chairmanship of Secretary of Ayush, Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha to discuss cooperation in education and research, etc in traditional medicine.

H.E. Mr. David Pine, High Commissioner, New Zealand High Commission (NZHC), and Mr. Louis O’Brien, Second Secretary, NZHC attended the meeting.

They discussed a variety of topics, including the nutritional value of food, health claims, intellectual property, & education. In relation to New Zealand and the Oceania countries, B2B meetings, cooperative research on traditional medicine, and the whole system approach.

Ministry of AYUSH is also involved in Bharat Parv 2023, a six-day (January 26-31) event organized at Delhi's Red Fort and Gyan Path. The Ayush Pavilion at the event, organized at the Red Fort showcases various types of AYUSH practices. There are many 'healthy products' used in daily routine ranging from bread, tea leaves available in this pavilion.

G Kishan Reddy, Union Minister For Culture, Tourism And Development Of North Eastern Region (DoNER) tweeted,"At the closing ceremony of "Bharat Parv 2023", organised at Gyan Path, New Delhi, along with the Hon'ble Union Minister Shri @dpradhanbjp ji, MoS colleagues Shri @shripadynaik ji & Shri @AjaybhattBJP4UK ji, visited booths set up by ministries showcasing."
