NBE Confirms NEET PG 2025 Exam Date After SC Approval; To Be Held on August 3 in Single Shift

NEET PG 2025 exam will now be conducted on August 3, 2025, by NBE as per the approval of the Supreme Court. The NEET PG exam 2025 will be conducted in a single shift across several exam centres in India.
NEET PG 2025 exam date has been confirmed. The National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) will conduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Post-Graduation (NEET-PG) for the academic session 2025 on August 3, 2025. The Supreme Court of India has allowed NBE to reschedule the NEET PG 2025 exam to August 3, 2025, in order to make arrangements for the exam centres and other necessary requirements.
A bench comprising Justice Prashant Kumar Mishra and Justice Augustine George Masih has allowed the extension to NBE to conduct the examination on August 3. On May 30, the Supreme Court ordered NBE to conduct the NEET PG 2025 exam in a single shift and not to conduct the test in two shifts. Following that, NBE has requested the Apex Court to grant an extension to conduct the examination in a later date in order to make arrangements as they need to increase the number of centres by twofold (from 450 to 900) and also have to make security arrangements.
NEET PG 2025 Revised Exam Date Announced
NBE will now conduct the NEET PG exam 2025 in a single shift across multiple exam centres in India on August 3, 2025. Justice Mishra cited that ensuring the integrity and security of the examination process is a necessary and priority aspect, regardless of when the exam is held. Further, granting approval to conduct the examination on August 3, 2025. Further, Justice JB Pardiwala and Justice Sanjay Karol stated that the Apex Court did not want any compromise in the conduct of the examination, but NBE has to make sure the sanctity of the examination is preserved.
