Dr. Sanjeev Sharma, vice-chancellor, National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur, says, “Ayurveda students must learn about Medical Astrology. The changes in planets and constellations according to the natal chart of a person have a direct effect on the health and mind of humans.”

"The students will be able to diagnose and design the course of treatment for different patients in consonance with their natal chart which varies based on cases. Astrology works upon some calculations to predict the movement of planets, hence, it will not affect the logical orientation of students (Can be deleted),” adds Sharma.

Sunil Kumar Sharma, chapter chairman, Indian Council of Astrological Sciences, Delhi V, says, “There is a full-fledged course on Medical Astrology which the Ayurveda students can study as it consists of several astrological combinations that are useful in predicting different diseases as per the natal chart of a person. Many diseases occur due to the imbalance of Vata-Pitta and Cough, which can be identified by studying the planets.”
