National Testing Agency has announced the cancellation of NEET UG 2026 exam conducted on May 3. This has come as a major surprise for students who appeared in the examination. Over 22 Lakh students who have registered for the exam are now in a dilemma about their future sharing disappointment with the exam conducting authority. Despite conducting the examination under AI surveillance and all the other necessities to conduct the exam in a fair manner, NTA has shared an official notification highlighting that sanctity of NEET 2026 paper was compromised. 

NTA conducted NEET UG 2026 exam on May 3 between 2 PM to 5 PM. Right after the examination was over, reports related to irregularities surfaced online. Students had been continuously searching questions like “is NEET cancelled” and “is NEET exam cancelled 2026.” 

Replying to the query of students, earlier NTA has said that the NEET 2026 paper leak was not true and all the rumours of NEET paper leak news was fake. However, the board has now confirmed that NEET 2026 exam cancelled decision was taken after ratification from central agencies shared by law enforcement authorities.

NEET 2026 Paper Cancelled: No Fresh Registration Needed

The agency has clarified that candidates will not have to register again for the NEET 2026 exam. Already filled application forms, candidature details, and selected exam centres will remain valid for the NEET 2026 re-exam. Students are now waiting for the official announcement regarding the fresh NEET re-exam date and admit card schedule.

NTA NEET Exam Cancelled: NTA to Issue Fresh Admit Card 

NTA has notified that fresh NEET admit card 2026 will be issued to students. However, there will be no change in the exam centre, timing or any other detail.
