NEET Counselling 2025 Round 2 Begins Today; Schedule Soon @mcc.nic.in

MCC NEET UG 2025 round 2 counselling process is likely to begin from today, i.e. August 29, 2025, in order to include newly authorised MBBS seats in round 2 UG counselling 2025; as the process of increasing MBBS seats in session 2025 is in process.
NEET UG Round 2 Counselling 2025: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is likely to begin the counselling process for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) round 2 today, i.e. August 29, 2025. Students who are seeking admission to 15% All India Quota MBBS or BDS seats across India will be able to apply for NEET UG round 2 counselling 2025 in order to secure a seat in a UG medical or dental college in India. However, the authorities are yet to announce the NEET UG round 2 counselling dates 2025 and schedule on the official website. It is expected that NEET UG round 2 counselling dates 2025 will be announced anytime soon at the official website, i.e. mcc.nic.in.
"As per information received from the National Medical Commission (NMC), the process of increasing MBBS seats for the academic session 2025 is in progress. In order to include newly authorised MBBS seats in Round-2 of UG Counselling 2025, the competent authority has decided to start Round-2 of UG Counselling 2025 from 29th Aug 2025, tentatively. However, the revised schedule for Round 2 will be published shortly." The official notification reads.
NEET Counselling 2025: MCC Includes New PwD Centres
PwBD candidates participating in the NEET UG Counselling 2025 are informed that, for the convenience of PwBD candidates, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has added more Designated Disability Centres to issue Disability Certificates. PwBD candidates can now visit these new centres, along with the previously designated 16 centres, to get examined and obtain their Disability Certificates in order to participate in the counselling process. The PwD portal for Round-2 of UG Counselling 2025 is now active and will remain open until 12:00 Noon on September 9, 2025.

The NEET counselling registration fee varies for different candidate categories. For the AIQ seats and Central Universities, the fee for the General category candidates is INR 1,000 and for the SC, ST, OBC and PwD category candidates, the fee is INR 500. For participating in the NEET counselling process for Deemed Universities, the registration fee for all category candidates is INR 5,000. The registration fee is non-refundable. On the other hand, candidates will have to pay the tuition fee which is refundable. The amount for the General category candidates for the AIQ seats and Central Universities is INR 10,000. For the reserved category candidates, the amount is INR 5,000. For Deemed Universities, the tuition fee to be paid by all category candidates is INR 2,00,000. Those who would not be allotted a seat after the NEET counselling process will be refunded the tuition fee after the conclusion of the counselling rounds.
The NEET counselling process is conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) primarily in online mode. All the steps of the counselling process, including the registration, release of seat matrix, choice filling and locking, and release of the seat allotment result. Only the last and final round, which is the institute reporting, has to be done in offline mode. Herein candidates who have been allotted seats have to visit the institutes for document verification and complete the admission process by paying the requisite fee amount.
