The United Doctors Front (UDF) has urged the Union Health Ministry, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), and the National Medical Commission (NMC) to intervene regarding severe NEET PG 2026 counselling technical errors. PG medicos across the country are facing challenges in the online seat allotment system. Students have reported that they faced various issues, including website access failures during the choice-filling stage, printing errors in the Round 1 seat allotment letter, and a lack of coordination at the individual college level. The doctors have raised concerns, questioning how a critical national entrance system can continue to suffer.

NEET PG 2026 Counselling Errors: Glitches in Freeze/Float System and Mailbox-Full Technical Errors

Reportedly, students have raised concerns that the newly introduced Freeze/Float rules are causing confusion among candidates and institutions. While the official MCC guidelines state that 'FLOAT' candidates can verify their documents online, many nodal officers at medical colleges are forcing students to travel and report physically. In many cases, stressed candidates have to explain the NEET PG 2026 counselling brochure to the college authorities themselves.

Further, when candidates attempt to email the MCC about these mistakes using the address listed on their personal dashboards, the system rejects the mail, stating, "The recipient's inbox is out of storage space".

What is Medicos Demanding?

As the current counselling process has seen discrepancies, including the sudden withdrawal and replacement of the Round 1 provisional allotment PDF due to data print errors, the doctors have raised urgent demands to the DGHS and the Health Ministry:

• Issue immediate written notices to all participating colleges to nodal officers regarding online verification rules.
• Clear the storage space on blocked mailboxes, and update outdated contact information.
• Set up a grievance portal to resolve students' technical problems.
• Conduct a strict administrative review of the website to avoid website crashes during peak event time.
