The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has started the NEET SS 2024 counselling process on May 13, 2025. The last date to register is May 18, 2025, 3 PM. The choice filling process is slated to begin tomorrow, May 14, 2025. The last date to fill and lock choices is May 18, 2025, till 11.55 PM. Only those candidates who have qualified for the NEET SS 2024 exam, which was held on March 29 and March 30, 2025, will be eligible to participate in the NEET SS 2024 counselling process.

How to Register for NEET SS 2024 Round 1 Counselling

Candidates have to follow the steps given below to register for the NEET SS 2024 Round 1 counselling process.

  • Visit the official website of MCC Super Speciality section – mcc.nic.in/super-speciality-counselling/
  • Click on New Registration tab or directly enter the link - https://mcc.admissions.nic.in/applicant/Root/Home.aspx?boardId=140042321
  • Select the course, and click on the New Registration tab
  • Fill up the mandatory fields
  • Pay the registration fee of INR 5,000 and a Security Deposit of INR 2 lakh through Credit Card, Debit Card or Net Banking
  • MCC will send a registration confirmation through email or SMS

It is expected that the MCC will release the NEET SS 2024 counselling Round 1 registration soon. Based on that, candidates will have to enter their course choices.  

The seat allotment result will be processed from May 19 to May 20, 2025, and the result will be declared in PDF format on May 21, 2025. The institute reporting process will be conducted from May 22 to May 26, 2025.

As of now, three rounds of NEET SS 2024 counselling have been announced, and the number of rounds may extend based on the seat vacancy.

Q:   What is the total duration of the NEET SS counselling?
A:

The total duration of the NEET SS counselling ranged for around three months. There will be three to four rounds of counselling. The total duration for each round is approximately 15 days. The number of rounds of NEET SS counselling varies depending on the vacant seats or revision in cutoff. 

Q:   When will NEET SS counselling be conducted?
A:

The NEET SS counselling is conducted approximately one month after the declaration of the result. As per the dates announced by MCC, the NEET SS 2024 counselling process was originally scheduled from May 13, 2025, to July 7, 2025. However, after the first two rounds, the third round was postponed. MCC released the dates for NEET SS 2024 counselling stray round or Round 3 on July 21, 2025. The counselling process was conducted from July 24 to August 5, 2025. 

Q:   How many rounds are conducted for NEET SS counselling process?
A:

There are approximately three to four rounds of counselling for the NEET SS exam. Last year, there were originally two rounds of NEET SS counselling and later, an additional round was announced since the NEET SS cutoff was revised. This year also, it can be expected that there will be three rounds of NEET SS counselling. Followed by this, there will be additional rounds, in case there is a change in the cutoff or seat matrix, the number of NEET SS counselling rounds will increase.
