PGI Chandigarh issues clarification, MD/MS entrance test to be held on June 14

Denouncing the news of PGIMER MD/MS exam being postponed, PGI Chandigarh releases clarification stating that the exam will be conducted on June 14. Read exam day guidelines here.

The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research Chandigarh has released a clarification regarding the exam date for the MD/MS entrance test. According to the notification, the PGIMER MD/MS entrance examination will be held on June 14. The notification was released by PGI Chandigarh after a piece of fake news regarding the examination being postponed to June 21 was released online.

PGI Chandigarh will be conducting the MD/MS entrance test across 41 exam centres in India. The Institute had also mentioned in the notification that all the Chief Secretary of the states have been briefed about the conduct of the PGIMER 2020 exam.

The Institute has clarified in its previous notification that the examination for MD/MS courses cannot be postponed as the previous batch graduate on June 30. Postponing PGIMER 2020 exam date will disrupt the normal functioning of the hospital.

PGIMER 2020: Important Instructions for Exam Day

• Candidates who are suffering from COVID-19 or show symptoms will not be allowed to appear for the examination
• PGIMER 2020 admit card has been released and can be downloaded from the official website of the institute
• The seating arrangement will ensure that the candidates are seated at least six feet apart from each other
• All candidates must wear a mask while at the exam centre to cover their nose and mouth
• They must also install Aarogya Setu app on their mobile phones
• Guards will check the temperature of all the candidates at the entry gate using an infrared thermometer
• The exam centres will have adequate provisions for hand hygiene practices
