Applications are invited for PhD Nursing admissions at Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. The last date to apply is July 14, 2023.

RGUHS: Admissions open for PhD Nursing; Apply by July 14

Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences invited applications for admission to PhD in Nursing. There are a total of 30 seats including 6 seats each in Community Health Nursing, Medical-Surgical Nursing, OBG Nursing, Pediatrics Nursing, and Psychiatric Nursing.

Additional 06 seats are reserved in each speciality for the candidates working as a nursing faculty in Colleges of Nursing affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS).

An entrance exam will be held for admission to this course on August 20, 2023. The last date to receive the application form is July 14, 2023.

Eligibility Criteria for PhD Nursing at RGUHS

Applications are invited from eligible candidates who have obtained:-

(a) M.Phil (Nursing) or M.Sc.(N) or a Post Graduate degree in nursing found suitable by INC under section 13 & 14 of INC Act, 1947. INC with 3 years of teaching or Clinical experience after M.Sc.(N)

(b) The candidates should have passed M.Sc Nursing with a minimum of 60% marks.

(c) Candidates working in Teaching Institution/Hospital/Community Centre. 

Selection Process

Selection for the Ph.D. Programme will be based on:

i. Merit in the entrance test (90 marks). The minimum pass mark for entrance is 54 marks.

ii. Candidates Possessing M.Phil in Nursing (5 marks)

iii. Each Publication shall be marked 1 (one) mark if published in an indexed journal only (maximum 5 marks) 

Enclosures required with the application form include - three Latest Passport size photographs (one to be pasted on the front page of the application and two to be pasted on the admit card in the space provided) & shall be self-attested, attested copies of RN & RM certificate, attested copies of M.Sc. (N) degree certificate, mark sheets (both years), attested copies of M.Phil. (N) Degree certificate, if available, NOC from the head of the institution, declaration, and admit card shall be duly filled in by the candidate.
