Telangana to start 9 medical colleges this year; Gets NMC's nod for 6

Telangana health minister T Harish Rao said that the state is all set to start 9 medical colleges this year and 6 medical colleges in Jangaon, Asifabad, Kamareddy, Khammam, Vikarabad, and Bhupalpally have already got the National Medical Commission's approval and three more medical colleges in Nirmal, Karimnagar and Sircilla reached the final stage.
The state government is ready to start 9 new medical colleges this year in Telangana. The health minister T Harish Rao announced on Twitter that they have already got the approval of the National Medical Commission for 6 medical colleges in Jangaon, Asifabad, Kamareddy, Khammam, Vikarabad, and Bhupalpally.
"Telangana govt is briskly moving forward in setting up one medical college per district towards CM Sri #KCR Garu’s vision of #ArogyaTelangana Delighted to share that, out of 9 medical colleges to be started this year, 6 medical colleges already have got permissions, i.e., Jangaon, Asifabad, Kamareddy, Khammam, Vikarabad, Bhupalpally. The approval process of Nirmal, Karimnagar and Sircilla Medical Colleges reached the final stage," reads his tweet.
The commission has approved 100 MBBS seats each in these colleges. The health minister also shared the NMC's letters of permission on Twitter.
Recently, the health minister and Jagadish Reddy G, Minister for Energy, laid the foundation stone for 100 bedded Govt Hospital at Choutuppal of Munugode Assembly Constituency.
"As promised in the previous by-election, the foundation stone of a 100-bed hospital with 36 crores in Chautuppa was laid with Minister
@BRSHarish and MLA @Koosukuntla_BRS Gar. As the hospital is on the national highway, emergency critical care services will be made available here," tweeted Jagadish Reddy G.
