National Testing Agency has concluded the NEET 2026 exam at 5 PM on May 3, 2026. Right after the exam ended, students started searching when will NEET 2026 result be declared. As per the previous years' trends, the NEET result 2026 is expected to be announced in the second week of June 2026. However, NTA is yet to announce the exact NEET result 2026 date and time on its official website. Students must note that NTA has recently increased its activities of social media platform 'X'. It is expected that along with announcing NEET 2026 result date on the website, NTA will also inform students about the result date on 'X'.
Candidates will be able to download their scorecards using login credentials. Students have to enter their application number and date of birth. The NEET 2026 result scorecard will include important details such as marks obtained, All India Rank (AIR), personal details and qualifying status.

When Was NEET Result Released Last Year?
The NEET 2025 result date was June 14, 2026. It was announced at 2 PM at NTA NEET official website. Reportedly, the result was announced within 41 days after the examination.

Students can download NTA NEET result 2026 using below steps:

- Click on NEET 2026 scorecard download link displayed in notification section
- Enter NEET 2026 application number and password

What After NEET 2026 Result?
Students who will qualify the NEET exam results and score over and above the qualifying percentage will have to appear for the counselling process. The Medical Counselling Committee will conduct the counselling process for 15% of All India Quota seats. Meanwhile, the counselling process for 85% seats will be conducted by state medical authorities. Students must note that they can apply for NEET counselling for both AIQ and state quota seats. However, they have to leave one of the two seats.

The NEET counselling registration fee varies for different candidate categories. For the AIQ seats and Central Universities, the fee for the General category candidates is INR 1,000 and for the SC, ST, OBC and PwD category candidates, the fee is INR 500. For participating in the NEET counselling process for Deemed Universities, the registration fee for all category candidates is INR 5,000. The registration fee is non-refundable. On the other hand, candidates will have to pay the tuition fee which is refundable. The amount for the General category candidates for the AIQ seats and Central Universities is INR 10,000. For the reserved category candidates, the amount is INR 5,000. For Deemed Universities, the tuition fee to be paid by all category candidates is INR 2,00,000. Those who would not be allotted a seat after the NEET counselling process will be refunded the tuition fee after the conclusion of the counselling rounds.
After online registration for NEET counselling process, candidates will have to fill in choice of Institutions/colleges/courses in order of their preference. Once the choice is filled in, it can be modified before locking it. During the choice locking period, it is necessary to lock the choices to get a printout of the submitted choices. If a candidate does not lock the choice submitted by him/her, it will be automatically locked as per schedule. In case they don't register and fill in choices during registration period, they will not be allotted any seat. NEET counselling registration will be available before the first three rounds of counselling, and not before the Stray Vacancy Round.
