NEET PG 2021 Counselling: MCC to start registration from tomorrow; Check major changes this time
Registration for NEET PG 2021 counselling will start from January 12 on the official website, mcc.nic.in. MCC has introduced some changes this time in NEET PG 2021 seat allocation process. Read to know more.
NEET PG 2021 counselling will start on January 12. Candidates will have to register themselves online to participate in NEET PG 2021 seat allocation process. As per NEET PG 2021 counselling dates, the last date for registration for round one NEET PG 2021 counselling is January 17. Candidates will have to declare choice as per their preference from January 13 to January 17 till 11:55 pm. Candidates can also edit or change the choice in the stipulated time given by MCC.
NBE has already released merit list for All India 50% seats. MCC will conduct counselling for 50 percent seats and respective state authorities will conduct counselling for rest 50 percent seats. NBE has already released merit list for All India 50% seats. Earlier on January 7, the Supreme Court gave final order on reservation issue which led to delay in NEET PG 2021 seat allotment process. The Court gave go-ahead to Centre’s decision of 27 percent OBC and 10 percent EWS quota in AIQ seats.
NEET PG 2021 Counselling: Major Changes This Time

MCC has introduced certain changes in NEET PG 2021 seat allotment process that includes a total number of counselling rounds, reservation criteria, and others. Some major changes in NEET PG 2021 counselling process have been enlisted below:

There will be fours rounds of counselling for All India Quota seats, first, second, mop-up, and stray vacancy round. Earlier there used be two rounds only. Earlier seats used to be reverted back to the respective states after completion of round two of AIQ. But this time, seats will not be revered back to respective states after Round -2.

Unfilled NRI/Muslim Minority/Jain Minority seats will be converted to Indian National seats after exhaustion of all the eligible candidates during mop-up round before reverting it back to the respective Deemed University. Earlier these seats used to be sent back to the Deemed Universities for stray vacancy round.

Earlier the reservation criteria was valid for only Central University/Institute. As per the new rule, reservation rule will be applied on Central University/Institute as well as state contributed seats.

MCC will be conducting counselling for PG DNB seats also.

The stray vacancy round will be conducted in online mode for Central University/Institutes/All India Quota/DNB seats. Earlier, respective Central University/Institutes used to conduct offline counselling for stray vacancy round.
