Andhra Pradesh BSc Nursing admission from academic session 2025-26 will be conducted based on Common Entrance Test, which earlier was done through EAPCET and NEET scores.

The Minister for Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare, Y Satya Kumar Yadav, has notified that admission to the BSc Nursing programme from the academic year 2025-26 will be conducted based on the common entrance examination. Students who wish to pursue a BSc Nursing course in Andhra Pradesh state will have to appear for a separate entrance examination.

For the past two years, admission for nursing courses in Andhra Pradesh was being conducted based on EAPCET and NEET scores. However, from the academic session 2025-26, students have to qualify the common nursing entrance examination. 

Reportedly, the enrollment process for AP Nursing admission 2025 is expected to begin in April and will continue till July. The authorities have directed that the admission process shall be completed by November, said the minister while addressing the representatives of nursing institutions from 13 districts. Further, a board of examination too would be formed for the regulation of nursing admission in the state, as reported by The Hindu. 

Every year, approximately 13,000 students take admission to the BSc Nursing programme. Andhra Pradesh state, for the first time, will conduct the entrance examination for BSc Nursing programme. 

Meanwhile, representatives from nursing institutes expressed concern that the BSc Nursing course fee is less. For that, the minister assured that the decision shall soon be taken in this regard. The representatives further demanded that government orders be inducted for the management of nursing colleges.
