The AIIMS Bhubaneswar has inaugurated the Central Research Laboratory at the premises. The Union Minister of Health & Family Welfare and Chemicals & Fertilizers, JP Nadda, inaugurated the laboratory and also laid the foundation stone of Multiutility (Gastronomy) Block on the occasion.

The AIIMS Central Research Laboratory offers a transformative initiative to advance cutting-edge medical research and foster innovation. The facility intends to empower doctors, researchers, and scholars to generate significant health care options and drive AIIMS Bhubaneswar into the league of leading medical research hubs in the country. 

Besides, the Multiutility (Gastronomy) block is a modern infrastructure destined to meet the needs of not just students and staff but also the general public. Several necessary amenities will be offered under one roof, enhancing the operational efficiency and community engagement at the AIIMS Bhubaneswar campus. 

Prof Ashutosh Biswas, Executive Director of AIIMS Bhubaneswar, shared his delight about the launch of the laboratory, saying, "The Central Research laboratory will be a catalyst for scientific discovery and translational research, especially in the Eastern region. It will open doors to pioneering treatments and improved healthcare outcomes."

As a part of the digital transformation of healthcare services at AIIMS Bhubaneswar, the Union Minister also launched the redesigned AIIMS Bhubaneswar website. The revamped website is equipped with user-friendly features and integrated services for patients and visitors. Going forward, the Union Minister also stated that a skin bank will be set up in AIIMS Bhubaneswar in the near future.
