Puducherry schools reopening from June 23; Class 11 admissions from June 17

The department would announce the date of reopening for Class 11 students only after the declaration of the results of Class 10 public examination.

Puducherry School Reopening 2022: Government, government-aided and private schools in Puducherry and Karaikal regions are all set to reopen for Classes 1 to 10 and for Class 12 on June 23. The school are reopening after summer vacation. Announcement regarding Puducherry School Reopening 2022 post summer break was made by home minister A Namassivayam. Namassivayam also holds a portfolio of school and collegiate education.

Speaking to reporters on May 30, Namassivayam said the department would announce the date of reopening for Class 11 students only after the declaration of the results of Class 10 public examination.

Meanwhile, students seeking admission to Class 11 in Puducherry Government schools must note that Government schools in Puducherry and Karaikal will commence issuing application forms for admission into Class 11 on June 17. Students fulfilling the eligibility criteria would be required to fill and submit the forms along with their Class 10 scorecard and passing certificate for enrolment in government schools. Public examinations conducted by the Tamil Nadu education board for Class 12 and Class 10 students concluded on May 23 and May 30, respectively. The minister informed that the board would commence the evaluation process of the TN public examination 2022 answer sheets on June 1. The class 10, 12 public exam results will be released after the completion of the evaluation process. TN 10^th, 12^th results 2022 date and time will be announced by the Board.
