CTET 2026 Exam: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the CTET 22nd Edition exam on September 6, 2026. The city slip will be released around ten days prior to the examination date. Candidates appearing for the CTET exam can check below some of the important topics of Child Development and Pedagogy (CDP) that will help in revision and also ace the preparation. This is the time to focus on the important topics, previous year questions, mock tests and do revision. CTET 2026: Check Exam Timing
The CTET 2026 exam time is different for Paper 1 and Paper 2. The CTET Paper 1 is conducted in the afternoon shift and CTET Paper 2 is held in the morning shift. Check below the CTET paper timing 2026 for both papers below:
- CTET Paper 2 Exam Time - 9:30 am to 12:00 noon
- CTET Paper 1 Exam Time - 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm
The CTET Paper 1 consists of 150 multiple-choice questions from five subjects namely Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II, Mathematics and Environmental Studies. On the other hand, CTET Paper 2 comprises four subjects namely Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language II, Mathematics and Science or Social Studies/Social Sciences.

Candidates can check the CTET exam city and date by downloading their pre-admit cards. The CBSE releases the CTET pre-admit card around 10 days before the exam. Candidates can access the CTET pre-admit card or exam city intimation slip by entering their application number and date of birth when it becomes available on the portal. On the other hand, the CTET admit card is released two days before the exam on the official website of the exam - ctet.nic.in informing the candidates about the allotted exam centre.
Candidates must reach the CTET exam centre as per the reporting time mentioned on their admit cards. Candidates generally need to report at the test centre 120 minutes before the examination.
Candidates need to carry these documents to the CTET exam centre-
- CTET admit card
- ID proof- PAN card or Voter ID card or Passport or Driving License or Aadhaar Card
- Two photographs
