India Post GDS Recruitment 2026 - India Post GDS Notification for various vacancies will be released online on January 31, 2026. The notification will also share the registration schedule for Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS), Branch Post Master (BPM) and Assistant Branch Post Masters (ABPM). A total of 28,740 vacancies will be filled across 23 postal circles.Â
The selection process will include candidates registering themselves on the GDS Online Engagement Portal - indiapostgdsonline.gov.in. Along with the application, a registration fee of Rs 100 is to be remitted. After registering and paying the application fee, candidates need to apply online.
India Post GDS Recruitment 2026 - Eligibility
 Candidates between the age group of 18 and 40 years who have completed their Class 10. There will be no written exam. The selection process for GDS, BPM, ABPM will be prepared based on the merit list based on 10th class marks. Candidates must have passed Maths and English from any recognised Board of Education, and also should have studied the local language at least upto Class 10.Â
Other qualifications required are:
- Knowledge of computer
- Knowledge of cycling
- Adequate means of livelihood
