Maharashtra State Council of Examination (MSCE), Pune postponed the MAHA TET 2026 exam that was schedule to be conducted on June 28. As per the official notice, the exam was postponed because of the paper leak. Around six lakh candidates were expected to appear for the MAHA TET 2026 exam across 1028 centres in the State. The postponement decision was taken to make the examination transparent as per the press release of the Government. The MAHA TET exam dates are not yet announced. The detailed schedule will be released by the authority on the official website at mahatet.in.
Further, the notice states that "taking into account the irregularities associated with the NEET 2026 examination, the Maharashtra State Council of Examination had implemented all necessary security measures".
As per the reports, police acted on a tip-off or got an information about the paper leak just a day before the exam. The Bhiwandi Police conducted a raid at the location. Subsequently, officials from the Maharashtra State Council of Examination were summoned for verification; upon inspection, it was found that some questions in the possession of these individuals matched those in the TET June 2026 question paper. Consequently, a case was registered at the Bhiwandi Police Station.

The MAHA TET exam is conducted offline in pen and paper mode. Candidates need to mark theirs answers on the OMR Sheet allotted to them at the exam centres. The new examination date for the MAHA TET examination and other related information will be issued on the official portal of the MSEC.
