SSC CGL 2025: Ballia’s Youth Fight Exam Chaos, Hold onto Dreams of Sarkari Naukri
SSC CGL 2025 will be held between August 13–30. Ballia’s youth share tales of loss as students like Ramesh Yadav and Sunita Kumari battle financial challenges, traveling 200 km to reach exam centers.
As #SSCVendorFailure and #SSC_System_Sudharo trend on X (formerly Twitter), Ballia’s youth share their tales of heartbreak and defiance, demanding a system that doesn’t crush their dreams.
CGL exam is a gateway to 14,582 government posts which draws more than 20 lakh candidates, of this thousands coming from eastern Uttar Pradesh’s Ballia alone. Yet, recent exam chaos, canceled tests, computers crashing, reports of locked centers has sparked outrage among youth.
In Rasra market, where Saraswati Coaching Centre’s signboard promises “Sarkari Naukri”, students like Ramesh Yadav carry heavy burdens as his farmer father sold land to fund his coaching. On exam day he spent around ₹8,000 to reach a Varanasi exam center, 200 km away for Phase 13 exam.
“The computers didn’t work. We waited for hours, then they sent us home,” Ramesh said. “My family prays at Ganga ghat for my success. If CGL fails, our sacrifices are wasted.” With exam closer he studies till late night, fearing another betrayal.
In a district where families pin dreams on government jobs, exam cancellations hit like a thunderbolt as they will have restart again. “Our youth are fighting for their future, but SSC’s silence is deafening,” said Anil Tiwari, a local teacher in Ballia, whose students joined protests.
Ramesh and Sunita’s fight is Ballia’s fight, a battle for a fair chance at a better life. Will SSC in Delhi listen or will India’s youth face another broken promise? In Ballia, where Ganga flows and dreams endure, answer matters.
